About

Candice and Grace's Commitment to Quality

It was really important for us to give our clients and other hairdressers access to the best quality hair extensions. We have both been the biggest advocates for natural-looking hair extensions throughout our years of working with them, and we found that the large majority of hair extensions you could gain fast access to in Australia lacked consistency and durability and were produced in large factories throughout Asia.

We started Candice Grace Hair extensions to give hairdressers fast access to 100% single donor European Hair, in a colour range that is easy to translate and match with confidence. Candice Grace hair, is hair that looks and feels natural, and that stays stronger for longer.

We have tried many methods but have found the beaded wefts to be the most comfortable, natural, seamless, and longest-lasting, while keeping our clients hair healthy and strong.

Caring for your wefts

Your new hair extensions have been meticulously applied onto a beaded row of your natural hair. While you should experience little to no pulling sensation once they’re secured, it’s normal to feel a slight tightness during the first couple of nights. Rest assured, this discomfort will typically diminish as you adjust to your beautiful new extensions.

Maintenance is crucial for the longevity and health of your extensions. We recommend scheduling a move-up appointment every 4-6 weeks. As your natural hair grows, the hair attached to the extension wefts also grows. Retying the wefts ensures they stay close to your scalp, minimising stress and damage to your natural hair. This regular maintenance not only preserves your extensions but also promotes healthier, longer-lasting results.

Here are the washing and conditioning instructions for your hair extensions:
  • To maintain your hair extensions, shampoo at least 1-2 times per week. Before washing, use a hair extension brush to gently brush through the hair and scalp. We recommend the Candice Grace Hair Extension paddle brush.
  • When washing, wet your hair thoroughly. Apply a small amount of shampoo to your hands and rub them together. Start at the roots using your fingertips, making sure to go between the rows of extensions. Gently drag the shampoo through to the ends of your hair; avoid rubbing or lifting the hair on top of your head, as this can cause tangling.
  • Repeat the shampooing process to ensure thorough cleansing. This routine helps maintain the health and appearance of your hair extensions, ensuring they stay beautiful and manageable.
  • Once your hair is clean, apply conditioner or a hair mask to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Leave the conditioner or mask on for a few minutes to allow it to deeply nourish and hydrate your hair extensions.
  • Afterward, rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. When towel drying, gently squeeze your hair to remove excess water—avoid rubbing vigorously, as this can cause tangling and damage.
  • For the best care of your hair extensions, it’s important to avoid shampoos that contain sulphates, as these can strip the hair of natural oils and contribute to dryness. Opt for sulphate-free products to maintain the health and longevity of your extensions.
Here are the styling tips and recommendations for your hair extensions:
  • For styling, start by applying a leave-in oil or heat protector before drying your hair. You can choose to air dry or use a hairdryer, ensuring never to dry your hair upside down. It’s crucial that your hair is completely dry before using any heat tools.
  • When using heat tools, such as straighteners or curling irons, ensure they do not exceed 200 degrees Celsius to prevent damage to your hair extensions.
  • At night, to minimise breakage and maintain the integrity of your hair extensions, consider braiding or twisting your hair into a low bun before sleeping.
  • The lifespan of your extensions depends on how well you care for them and the products used. Premium European hair can last up to 1 year, while virgin hair can last 2-3 years with proper maintenance.

Always use salon-recommended products to care for your hair extensions. We recommend the Kerastase Curl Manifesto Shampoo, Conditioner, and Masque, along with the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Original Hair Oil, to ensure long-lasting, soft, and healthy hair extensions. These products are specially formulated to nourish and protect both your natural hair and extensions, maintaining their beauty and vitality over time.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

What are weft hair extensions?

Weft hair extensions are hair extensions that are sewn onto long wefts, the wefts are then cut to size to wrap around your head, much like clip-in extensions but with a more semi permanent result. These extensions are attached to your natural hair by creating  a track along your hair using silicone beads, and then sewing the weft onto the track.

The lifespan of weft hair extensions can vary depending on maintenance and care. Candice Grace Virgin hair extensions can last 3+ years with proper care, and our Premium European range can last 2+ years with proper care.

Yes, weft hair extensions can be tailored to suit various hair textures and types, offering versatility in styling and application.

Weft hair extensions are applied by sewing the weft onto a track of beads applied by your stylist. Much like clip-in extensions, these tracks run in rows around the diameter of your head. The rows are meticulously placed to ensure wefts are not visible when hair is worn up or down.

Yes, weft hair extensions can be styled using heat tools (under 200 degrees) , curled, straightened, and toned professionally to blend seamlessly with your natural hair.

When professionally applied and cared for, weft hair extensions are designed to be comfortable, providing a natural feel and look.

Proper maintenance includes gentle washing, conditioning, avoiding excessive heat, and regular brushing to keep the extensions looking and feeling their best.

When applied correctly and cared for properly, weft hair extensions should not cause damage to natural hair. It’s essential to have them applied and removed by a trained professional.
